Job Description

Kattsafe is a world leader in innovative height access and fall protection, designing and manufacturing high-spec products and components that deliver maximum safety with minimum fuss. 

The Sales Engineer position requires a technically and mechanically minded individual with excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively qualify leads. The ideal candidate will be able to confidently communicate with prospective clients and customers, understanding their needs, creating accurate quotes, while building rapport.

Job Requirements
  • Collaborate with sales team members and relevant departments to gather necessary information for quote creation. 

  • Qualify incoming internal access and fall protection opportunities 

  • Follow-up on quoted opportunities 

  • Manage a pipeline in collaboration within the Safe Access Specialist team  

  • Respond promptly to inbound leads received through various channels (phone, email, website, etc.). 

  • Engage with potential customers on a consultive basis, providing risk analysis, to understand their needs, qualify their requirements, and determine the appropriate solutions. 

  • Provide product information, managing technical aspects of the responses, overcome objections to generate interest and move leads through the sales pipeline. 

  • Conduct proactive calls with prospects within specified markets to generate new leads and opportunities. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing contractor-type accounts. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales engineering role 

  • Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a B2B environment. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to actively listen and engage with customers. 

  • Proficiency in using CRM software, sales tools, and other relevant technology. Experience with Salesforce preferred 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. 

  • Familiarity with the products and services offered by the company and a willingness to continually expand product knowledge. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). 

  • Some minimal travel required
