This Month in Safety
This month in safety, OSHA issued penalties totaling $1,007,717 to a roofing company in Florida that failed to protect workers from falls at two work sites. Unfortunately, the #1 most cited violation by OSHA last year was ‘Fall Protection – General Requirements’. Providing fall protection can seem like a daunting task which is why we have developed a program called High Five, to present an easy to follow 5-step process on becoming OSHA compliant. This way you can keep workers safe AND avoid the fines like the ones just above. Sure, you can always pay a fine, but getting home every day to the ones you care about is something that money can’t buy. Read more on our High Five program and begin implementing a plan.

Monthly Tech Tip
Installing a splice join for our Kattsafe Ladder System is easy. So easy that the only measuring tool you need is your own two fingers. One of our Kattcare technicians, Ed Royer, has a tip for fastening the splice join where the ladder bodies meet. Measure two fingers width above and below where the ladder bodies meet and that is where you need to install your screws.

Developments at Kattsafe
January has been a great month at Kattsafe. The team was excited to get back from the holidays and ring in the new decade with selling on safety. We’ve continued to make progress on #ProjectContainer in view of training our customers on our product ranges and fall protection. We’re beyond excited to see the completion of this space. Earlier last week we also announced that Kattsafe will be attending the 2020 IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show where we will showcase some of our most recent products such as the Kattsafe Roof Hatch Guardrail. Get hands-on with our Kattsafe Roof Hatch Systems, Kattsafe fixed ladders and Kattsafe Roof Guardrail Fall Protection Systems on March 28th and 29th at booth #329.
We are looking forward to the developments that February will bring. For now, enjoy this sneak peek at #ProjectContainer.
