Falls are among the most common causes of serious work-related injuries and deaths. The rooftop is a dangerous environment and we feel that it is often forgotten or overlooked by many companies. Maximum Safety, Permanent Protection

Installing Guardrails allows the roof top to be accessed safely without the need for extra precautions or personal protection equipment.  The user does not need to be knowledgeable in fall protection systems.  Skylights and roof hatches must also be protected with either guardrail or a safety screen.  The number of users is unlimited.

Practical Protection

A series of anchoring points, connected together by a steel cable, form a permanent steel cable path that follows the contour of the roof edge.  The user remains permanently attached to the lifeline while maintaining optimal freedom of movement on both sides of the steel cable.  Skylights and roof hatches must also be protected with either guardrail or a safety screen.  Multiple users can be connected to the lifeline systems depending on the engineering and manufacturers requirements.

Practical and Economical Protection

Two or more anchoring points connected  together through a permanent steel cable system. The user attaches to the steel cable using a slider  which results in optimal freedom of movement providing the lanyard is set to the correct length.  This system design is complemented with additional anchor points at the corners of the roof to prevent the pendulum effect in the event of a fall.  This system would generally allow access to the entire roof surface by the user adjusting the length of the lanyard for each work area.  This makes the system safe and easy to use, but does require some user knowledge.

Economical Protection

This system includes a number of different anchoring points attached to the roof at a maximum distance of 20’ from each other and approximately 13’ from the roof edge. The user hooks his lanyard directly to one of these anchorage points according to the working location; hooking up to the nearest anchorage point when moving across the roof surface.

Minimum Required Protection

This solution consists of a minimum of two anchoring points attached by a temporary portable lifeline. The user attaches to the temporary lifeline using a lanyard/lifeline. An affordable solution which requires the user to have the necessary knowledge.
